REVERIES (2021) An Experimental Animation Short Film

The film is an outcome of a graduation project research at the National Institute of Design, India. The project reflects the unification of narrative experimentation and collaborative storying as a therapeutic and data-gathering tool. The project makes use of narratives collected from thirty young adults from ages 21-29 through a story-writing exercise that they participated in. This exercise used concepts of 'Narrative Therapy' to let the participants re-imagine a new identity by constructing a fictional narrative. Using snippets from those individual narratives as vocabulary, an audiovisual was constructed to offer a gestalt viewing and listening experience for the viewers. The film represents a contrast between the vox populi audio and interpretative visuals which are a personal interpretation of the script.

Reveries have won Best Student Film in 24FPS International Animation Film Awards 2023 and have selections in various other film festivals around the globe. The film was also a finalist in the Taiwan International Student Design Competition 2022.

This video was made to showcase the new website of CLAP(Continuous Learning and Activity Program) for Ganga initiative of Tree Craze Foundation in collaboration with the 'Namami Ganga' program of the Government of India. I had to conceptualize the video from the start, working on the script and the storyboard. The video was used at the prelaunch event of the CLAP website to be showcased to the investors of the Program.
